This is somewhat of an autobiographical commentary. However, it may apply to many, in all aspects of life with their different interpretations of perspectives. In this case, the supposition is that for the audience, the two hours or so of a stage performance can often times delivers a somewhat skewed perception of who the artist really is and to a more serious degree, what they represent. This is often the case in the genre referred to as “Rap”. Audiences can often be mislead by the 2 or so hours on stage and not see the individual behind the artist; they are plural.

“You Don’t See Me” is presented here in a very raw form (Edit #) and performed in a manner possibly somewhat reminiscent of The Who (Noah style of course), this song is intended to invoke the feeling of the 70’s rock era where free form was acceptable. Much in the style of Baba “O Reiley this song is intended to feel make you feel as though that era never left; but with a point.

Yeah, I know; it’s a bit on the pop side for me but as we used to say in an earlier life... "feces occur at random interval's in the space time continuum"..... Translated: SHIT HAPPENS!

Let me know what you think

Cheers!

Lyrics

See me, as I am
This is all I ever wanted to be
Hear me, where I am
Another minstrel in your gallery

But you said I couldn’t rock n’ roll
I’m just out of place and right off time with my reason and rhyme
I’m just a story teller for some time
Or jester in your court, maybe nursery crime

But don’t fault me if you don’t understand
All the things that I might have time to say to you
It really could be that the fault is mine
But then some of the issue might be due to you

Cause you don’t see me as I am
The Ohne of two hours a true mystery
And though my tales may be off the wall
There just may be a point that you fail to see

But there’s no time to explain it all
The teaser is to discover what’s underneath
Cause nothing good is ever given for free
Without thought the tales of Ohne remain discreet

So don’t fault me if you don’t understand
All the things I might have time to say to you
It really could mean that the fault is mine
But then some of the issue still remains with you

If rock with a point isn’t rolling enough
From this American boy with ties across the sea
It’s by reason of birth not by choice
That there’s no one there that might remember me

But if sex and drugs without rock and roll
Is the only life you want to see in me
It’s the fault of these few hours on stage
It’s written in the play for you all to see

So don’t fault me if you don’t understand
All the things I might have time to say to you
It really could mean that the fault is mine
But then some of the issue still remains with you

Cause you don’t see me
Oh no you don’t see me
Cause you don’t see me
Oh god you don’t see me
